An Adventure of a Lifetime: Zipline Activity Combos

Ziplines, Suspension Bridges, ATVs, Horseback Riding and So Much More

Go beyond just ziplining with a customized tour of Oahu. With options like ATVs, horseback riding and swimming available, you can personalize your tour for the ultimate experience. To begin with, select one of the three destinations for ziplining. While Kualoa Ranch and the North Shore ziplines offer the longest lines and tours, beginners can check out the Bay View zipline for a short ride and miniature golfing.

ATV Adventures at Kualoa Ranch and North Shore

The North Shore zipline experience starts with an ATV trek up the mountainside to an exclusive ridge. From there, you can zipline across the agricultural farm and enjoy panoramic views of the ocean. At Kualoa Ranch, you can sign up for a one-hour ATV adventure. The adventure travels through the remote locales and scenic valleys of Kualoa. Known as the filming site for Jurassic Park, this valley is a step back in time to when Hawaii was ruled by the native flora and fauna.

As the ATV adventure in Kualoa continues, you will cross over a saddle trail to sites where movies like Lost, Windtalkers and 50 First Dates were filmed. Offered in sunny and rainy weather, the tour treks across muddy paths, seasonal streams and verdant jungle. Since this is one of Oahu’s most popular spots for ATVs and ziplines, make sure to book your tour in advance so that you can be assured of a spot.

Swimming at the Secret Island Beach

If you are not a fan of ATVs, you can always check out the swimming experience at Kualoa Ranch. Known as the Zip and Dip tour, this adventure starts with an amazing zipline across the valley. Afterward, you can swim from the valley to Secret Island. The Secret Island Beach is one of the few secluded beaches on Oahu, so it is the perfect getaway for a relaxing vacation.

After you are finished with the ziplines, the world is your oyster. You can spend the day reclining on a hammock and reading a book. For the true adventure lover, there are options like kayaking, glass-bottom boat tours, snorkeling and canoe riding. If you have the time, make sure to enjoy the beach volleyball, ping-pong, paddle boarding, horseshoes and badminton options on the islands. Normally, the tour spends the first three hours of the morning at the ziplines until breaking for a buffet lunch. Afterward, you can spend two hours exploring the wonders of Secret Island and enjoying a swim in paradise.

Family Friendly Adventures: Bay View Ziplines and Putt-Putt Golf

The Bay View zipline remains a favorite of families because it is shorter than the other two ziplines. Each tour includes three trips down the ziplines, and a tour takes about 30 minutes to complete. Once you have experienced the exhilaration of ziplining, you can enjoy an afternoon of miniature golf. Altogether, there are 36 holes of miniature golf available for people of all ages. These 36 holes are divided into two 18-hole courses: Pali and Lifelike. Whether you are playing alone or with a group, you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon of putt-putt golf amid the beauty of Kaneohe Bay and the Koolau Mountains.

Horseback Riding in Oahu

For a different type of adventure, check out horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch. Horseback tours are offered in one and two-hour options for visitors. With the two-hour tour, you can see where Hollywood movies were filmed and World War II bunkers as you ride deep into the Ka’a’awa Valley. If you choose the one-hour tour, you will explore the southern half of Kualoa as you check out the infamous Mokoli’i Island and the 800-year old fish pond. Both tours include an initial safety briefing and leave plenty of time for ziplining before or afterward.
