In order to ensure your comfort and safety, you’ll be matched with a horse best suited to your riding skills and experience before heading out on this one-hour, guided tour.

Ride deep into Ka’a’awa Valley where Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, and Lost were filmed. You’ll also see forests, World War II bunkers and fantastic views of the Kualoa Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Ziplining in Ka‘a‘awa Valley

Begin the Kualoa Ranch Zipline Tour at the top of Ka‘a‘awa Valley. The 2.5 hour zipline tour includes seven exciting tandem sections that are perfect for friends or couples who want to zip side-by-side. Walk across the two exciting suspension bridges, but don’t worry, you’re still clipped in as you cross the bridges! Throughout the tour you’ll be enjoying nature including three mini-hiking trails that take about 5 minutes each.

Ka’a’awa Valley has a rich cultural history and each of the seven ziplines is named after a culturally-significant element of the valley. Your zipline tour guide will share with you Hawaiian traditions, flora, and fauna as you cross natural streams and zip through this gorgeous windward valley. The zips were designed so that each provides a distinct cultural experience and learning opportunity.

The Kualoa Ranch Zipline is safe, fun, and easy. No experience required! First time “zipliners” immediately get the hang of it. The state-of-the art automatic braking system allows you to enjoy the views and the thrills without having to do a thing. There are no handbrakes on this zipline. Your guide will stop you automatically at the end of your zip.

Me and my boyfriend visited Kualoa Ranch last week. We chose this tour and booked in advance as we were told that the tours book up fast. The views were SPECTACULAR especially on the day we went. They provided stops so you can take advantage of photo opportunities. It was my first time horseback riding and was a little scared at first, but the horses are well trained and our guide gave us tips on how to direct and keep the horse calm. As far as ziplining…I can’t think of a more scenic place to do it. The valley is surrounded by majestic green mountains. Amazing!

I and two of my friends attended a one hour horseback tour and then on to the ziplining. We were the only ones in that tour and our guide did her best to make this experience unique for us. The views were amazing and it was cool to see the valley where movies like Jurassic Park were filmed. Kualoa valley is simply beautiful.

The views are breathtaking and it was so much fun to see scenes from the Jurassic Movies, Lost, Godzilla, and many more. SThis was a great tour. Bumpy and fun. The guides were entertaining and knowledgeable about the area not just where movies and TV shows were filmed, but the cultures and history of the area. So much fun!

My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary recently. The concierge at our hotel, directed us to the tours at Kualoa Ranch. We enjoy the horseback and zip line tours. The guide for the tour was friendly, funny, and so informative. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Strongly recommended.

This place is a dream come true! Stopped at the Jurassic Park log along the way to take some exciting photos! They took us to the Jurassic World gate as well. I’ve been to Oahu a few times before and have never been to Kualoa Ranch. Words cannot describe how gorgeous the area is. Definitely worth every penny – and worth visiting again!

We had an amazing experience doing this tour! One of our favorite experiences we had on Oahu! I would defiantly recommend it.

We did the zip line tour first and I don’t remember all the guides names but Jeremiah stands out as very friendly and helpful!! Our family enjoyed exploring the ranch by horseback riding and ziplining. Amazing view of mountain and ocean!

We have 5 kids ages 16-27 and the zipline was a GREAT family activity. We found ourselves racing each other since there were tandem lines. The scenery was amazing. The 7 platforms ranged in heights and lengths. My son’s favorite was riding horseback through the mountains, especially where the filmed some parts of jurassic world.

It w as 7 zips with amazing views!! We then did the horseback tour and had so much fun on this one too!! It was a great day filled with fun, beautiful views and enjoyed by all of us!! This tour is a must do while in Hawaii.

  10. 5 out of 5

The horseback ride we took was very cool, my and my wife heard about the movies that were recorded there and it was pretty cool seeing all the different places. We came home and watched Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, seeing the beautiful mountains again and the fences made us want to go back!  The zipline day ran smoothly, had a great crew, and the ranch had great food! Nothing beats the breath taking scenery!

We didn’t go fast but why would you want to? The scenery is beautiful! She stopped at various areas – WW II bunkers, where scenes from Jurassic Park and Pearl Harbor were filmed, and part of the working cattle ranch.  We will definitely revisit if we visit Oahu again.

Out of the activities, to make this review short. The zipline and horseback tour was the best fun we had. Riding a horse around the movie sites & around the area with a tour guide was awesome! That being said, the Ranch is beautiful and I was amazed to learn that it continues to be a working Ranch today. The cattle roam freely and I enjoyed seeing that aspect.

The views were unbelievable and you are given enough time to get all the pictures you want. The guides are more than willing to take a picture for you of you and your family/friends. We lucked out with a beautiful day, despite the storms that happened a few days earlier.
